 Advantages and Disadvantages of Computers

Computers play a greater role in human life since we have seen them almost everywhere - - in the offices, at homes, and all educational institutes. Every student is interested in taking computer courses, so that their computer knowledge can enable him/her to go get a good job after graduation. With the emergence of computers, however, they are both advantages and disadvantages to people.

As for their advantages, which there are many of them, computers help save time and energy. Fox example, in many industries, computers are the centers of the production process. There are no need to hire a great number of workers to do repetitive tasks. Only computers, they can control the whole production plant. Their functions have been found to be accurate and excellent. Moreover, with the help of computers, many delicate tasks can be done, as in many types of medical operations and brain surgery. Due to their sophisticated functions, they become the best tool to satisfy human needs. Everything seems to be easy with the help of them.

however, due to their increasing role day by day and in almost every field, it is feared by most people that human labour will be eventually replaced by these machines. Consequently, the unemployment rate will inevitably increase. This is because only s single man is able to control the entire production plant being equipped with a computer. Human life will be largely occupied by them and some day in the future, they may stop function due to viruses or something else, human may become hopeiess and have many problems. Thus, it is time to think about this singnificant role of computers and do not let the computers to decide our own fate.

Above discussions should explain the positive and negative sides of computers. Since they are both advantages and disadvantages to human life, we must decide whether we will be their master or let them decide our fate.
